* Working with Layer Styles
* Open your image and Alt/Opt+Click the Background Layer to remove Background properties
wedge Select the Custom Shape tool from the Tools Palette and load your custom shapes
* Click the Custom Shape Picker. Select the pop out menu tab and roll down to Replace Shapes...
* Locate and Load your custom shapes file inside the Custom Shape folder in the Presets inside your Photoshop Application folder.
wedge Draw in your Custom Shape
* Choose a shape form the newly loaded palette
Make sure the Shape Layer icon is selected in the tool options menu.
* Click and drag to create your infinitely scalable shape
* Select the Shape Layer in the Layers Palette and fill the layer with a new color
* Free Transform and Scale the shape to the desired final size
wedge Draw in more shapes
* Simply repeat the step above until you are satisfied with the resulting custom shape design
wedge Add Layer Styles to your Custom Shapes
* Click the Add Layer Styles icon at the bottom of the Layers Palette and add Outer Glow and Drop Shadow
wedge Copy & Paste Layer Styles
* Right-click/Ctrl+Click the Layer, Select Copy Layer Style
* Right-click/Ctrl+Click the Layer you want to Paste to, Select Paste Layer Style
wedge Add Layer Style to Photo
* Click the Add Layer Styles icon at the bottom of the Layers Palette and add Gradient Overlay
* Save the file.
